Use vector files when possible

Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) provide the cleanest embroidery results. If using raster images, ensure they are high-resolution (300 DPI minimum) with clear, defined edges.

Mind the stitch count

Higher stitch counts mean more detailed embroidery but also higher costs. Keep designs simple and avoid overly complex details for cost-effective results.

Text sizing guidelines

Minimum text height should be 6mm (0.24") for readability. Avoid thin fonts and serif typefaces as they don't embroider well. Sans-serif fonts work best.

Color limitations

Use solid colors only - gradients and color blends cannot be embroidered. Keep color count minimal for better visual impact and lower costs.

Key Notes

• Avoid designs with fine details under 1mm.
• Convert text to outlines to avoid font issues.
• Consider thread direction for optimal appearance.
• Dark threads on light fabrics work best.

High resolution is crucial

Always use 300 DPI or higher for crisp, clear prints. DTF printing captures fine details exceptionally well, so high-resolution files will showcase your design beautifully.

Color vibrancy and accuracy

DTF offers excellent color reproduction and vibrancy. Use CMYK color profile for accurate color matching. Bright and bold colors translate exceptionally well.

Unlike other printing methods, DTF excels at fine details, gradients, and complex artwork. Small text and intricate patterns print beautifully with this method.

Fabric compatibility

DTF works on virtually any fabric type - cotton, polyester, blends, and even challenging materials like leather or canvas. No pretreatment required.
